Mr. & Mrs. Frank & Flor Oamil
BCLSF Founders
History of Ben Lippen Christian Learning School Foundation
In gratitude for God’s love and faithfulness, Frank and Flor Oamil envisioned establishing a Christian school in the community where they grew up. Their desire was to create a place where the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ could be shared with the younger generation and where children could receive a Christ-centered education.
Their vision was inspired by the Scriptures:
“Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4) and
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
This God-given vision led to the establishment of Ben Lippen Christian Learning School (BCLS) during the school year 2007–2008. The school’s name was adapted from Ben Lippen School in Columbia, South Carolina, USA, a ministry of Columbia International University (CIU), where Mr. and Mrs. Oamil served as staff members. Contrary to common belief, Ben Lippen is not a person’s name; it is a Scottish phrase meaning “Mountain of Trust.”
Through the collaborative efforts of Delia Laguyo, Elmer Bagasol, and Janet Bagasol, along with the completion of a community survey, feasibility study, and the necessary administrative requirements, the vision gradually became a reality.
In its first year, BCLS opened with a preschool class of 18 students, two teachers, and several volunteers. Classes were initially held at the Oamil family residence in Nagrangtayan, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan. From these humble beginnings, the school began its mission of providing quality Christian education and nurturing children in the knowledge and love of God.
By God’s grace and faithfulness, Ben Lippen Christian Learning School has grown into a thriving institution dedicated to Christian education. Each milestone stands as a testament to the Lord’s provision, the commitment of its founders, and the support of countless families, teachers, and partners. Today, as Ben Lippen Christian Learning School Foundation, Inc. (BCLSFI), the school remains steadfast in its mission: to nurture young minds and hearts, equipping students with academic excellence, godly character, and a firm foundation in Christ.
Looking ahead, BCLSFI is committed to raising a generation that will honor God, serve others, and make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Statement of Faith
We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, revealing the three Persons of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as true God and true man.
We believe that man was created in God’s image, but is separated from God by sin.
We believe that man is redeemed by grace through faith in Christ’s vicarious atonement for sins, the shedding of His blood on the Cross.
We believe that the gift of eternal life is available to all men, that those who receive Christ by faith are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His imminent return, and the resurrection of His people.
We believe that the Bible, the Word of God teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman.
