The 13th Foundation Anniversary of Ben Lippen Christian Learning School was fast approaching and everybody at BCLS wished that a celebration of thanksgiving despite the pandemic would be possible. Trusting God and claiming His promise in Proverbs 16:3, "Ask the LORD to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out" (GNB), BCLS community religiously prayed for a program they had in mind. Imagine how pre-occupied they were in planning for the big day every time they became free from holding online classes!

And God, with all His overflowing grace, imparted the much needed wisdom to the school leaders leading to a blessed, yet simple foundation day celebration. In observance of every safety protocols thriving at this time, the required permits from the localities plotted to visit were obtained, list of limited attendees prepared, safety materials for use procured, and seats in the venue were arranged adhering to physical distancing rule. Lastly, a must for the guests is to bring their own face masks and face shields. Praise God, everything was ready. Picture the sweet smiles on their faces!

The 13th Foundation Anniversary! God's word for the day is found in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and theme is "BCLS@13 - Embraces Positive Changes Amidst Challenges." What a profound combination to declare that in every challenge and change ushered by these chaotic times, BCLS can positively respond and emerge victorious through the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Sir Rogelio and Ma'am Rosell, the Masters of Ceremonies, anchored the program smoothly from beginning to the end. The Invocation was led by our very own BCLS BOT Spiritual Leader, Pastor Vince Carizal followed by the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Ma'am Angeline with her graceful hands. Displaying their singing prowess, BCLS Staff then harmoniously performed the song In Christ Alone. What a way to boost everyone in the hall spiritually! Next was the Opening Remarks by the BCLS Principal Ma'am Eleanor, a magnificent charismatic leader and the core of BCLS staff. Subsequently, Ma'am Christie, our multi-tasking Registrar/HR/School Nurse/etc., carried out the Introduction to the Speaker, Pastor Dennis Caliyo. Originally from Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, this young and energetic God's servant is the Resident Pastor of Hosanna Bible Baptist Church in Claveria, Cagayan. Delivering an inspiring Message for Life, Pastor Dennis stressed at one point that 'if Christ is not the foundation of our endeavors, then nothing will prosper.' In recognition of BCLS' origin, he also stated '..and thank God, the founders of this school are Godly.' True enough, BCLS was founded for God's glory. Once again, Ma'am Christie rose to read the 13th Foundation Anniversary greetings from our good School Founders, Mr. & Mrs. Frank and Flor Oamil. Had the global situation been different, they would have feasted with the BCLS family. Next was the Tribute to Ma'am Dr. Delia D. Laguyo, presented by Ma'am Principal Eleanor. Regrettably, Ma'am Delia, a main player in establishing BCLS and developing it further, joined her creator last January 13, 2021. In recognition and appreciation to her exemplary dedication to BCLS, a Posthumous Certificate was awarded to Ma'am Delia through her son, Jeho (watch the full video here.) Ma'am Principal Eleanor continued with the Closing Remarks, Acknowledgement, and Announcement primarily for the next part of the activity, the Outreach Program to Indigenous People of the nearby barangays. What a morning full of God's marvelous work!

After lunch, BCLS family headed to three (3) places where recipients of packed goods and clothing reside. Motivated by love and compassion, everyone moved in one accord in doling out the goods shared by kind-hearted people here and abroad. Ma'am Eleanor clearly explained to every beneficiary in each community the origin of the goods, the purpose, and the BCLS identity. Their happy faces and smiles easily soothed the BCLS family's aching feet, tiredness, and discomfort from the afternoon drizzles. The outreach program was over in few hours and everybody trooped back to BCLS grounds. After the prayer led by Ptr. Vince Carizal, a joyful fellowship and fellow-eat ensued. Thank you, God for a wonderful time!

Thank you everyone! Your efforts and contributions in any form made the BCLS 13th Foundation Anniversary celebration successful. God bless you all a thousand fold!
