A Day of Thanksgiving

BCLS held its annual General Christmas Program last December 19, 2019 with a blast. God’s perfect timing is so amazing as He provided the newly constructed school building to be the venue. 

It was so wonderful to see every students, parents, guests, and the school personnel who gathered together and eagerly waited to watch the whole program. Such were the joy and excitement seen from them as the event began and progressed. The day was filled of beautiful numbers presented by the lovely smart students coached by their ever-caring talented teachers.

The BCLS choir rendered a beautiful song that served as a prelude to the message delivered by the speaker, Pastor Nolvestre Batoon. Using the school acronym, BCLS, he then conveyed to the audience the reason of the celebration:

     B - Birth of the Messiah

     C - Christ Came to us

     L - Love was the cause

     S - Salvation is His gift

True indeed, that in the midst of all the decorations and festivities, the main reason of the celebration was Jesus Christ, the Son of our God, who was sent to the world to bring the gift of salvation because of God’s immeasurable love for mankind. Glory be to God!

Next were the presentations by each class after the BCLS faculty and staff belted their heart-warming song. The young Ben Lippenians starred from that point onward and owned the stage. To the delight of the spectators, the students showed off their flairs by singing and other means in honoring and thanking God.

The last performance was the special presentation from the school Drum, Lyre & Marimba Ensemble. Assembled barely couple of weeks, the group surprised everyone in the hall with their first official musical number. Very soon, we will witness them marching and playing music in school parades!

Distribution of the gifts from generous donors capped the program. The excited students happily lined-up and received their presents. BCLS extends its gratitude and appreciation to the loving benefactors for bringing joy to these awesome kids.

Finally, the students with their parents and class advisers proceeded to their respective rooms for lunch and more activities which help strengthen the student-adviser-parent relationship.
