BCLS celebrated its 14th Foundation Day last February 18th with the theme, BCLS: Alive in Mission. By God’s grace, through the school supporters’ generosity, faithful financial support, and fervent prayers, the school reached another milestone.
Pastor Melvin Armandico, resident pastor of the Cagayan Valley Baptist Church of Langagan, Sanchez Mira delivered the message from Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him”. As in the past, the BCLS Faculty and Staff offered their thanksgiving songs for our great and mighty God.
Last part of the program was the distribution of used clothing, food, simple household items, etc., by the BCLS teachers and staff to the indigenous families living in the area. The students and their parents jointly helped in soliciting items from believers and kind-hearted people in the community for this activity. With this, everyone was encouraged to share God’s love to others as learned from Paul’s letter to Timothy (1Timothy 6:17-18) … ”charge others to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.”
BCLS extends its gratefulness and appreciation to all benefactors specially the parents who provided their full support for a fruitful and blessed 14th Foundation Day.
